Who We Are...

The Sandy Optimist Club is made up of school teachers, small business owners, blue-collar workers, retirees and various people in private and public enterprise with an interest in the youth of our community. Being an Optimist member means volunteering. It means attending club meetings when possible, to meet other members and hear news about the club and organization.

The PURPOSE of this club is to develop Optimism as a philosophy of life; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one's self in service to others will advance the well-being of man, his community, and world.
